Ras el Hanout is a traditional Moroccan spice blend known for its warm, rich, and complex flavor. The name is often translated as “top of the shop,” referring to a blend made with some of the best spices a spice seller has to offer.
There is no single fixed recipe for Ras el Hanout. Each blend can be slightly different, depending on the maker and the spices used. Our organic version is made with a flavorful combination of chili pepper, ginger, cinnamon, caraway, cumin seed, cloves, turmeric, bay leaf, mustard seed, black pepper, rose petals, onion, fennel, and sweet pointed pepper.
The result is a warm and aromatic mix with earthy, slightly sweet, gently spicy, and floral notes.
