Coconut Butter (housemade)
What is it?
This is our housemade coconut butter, freshly made in small batches at Nut House. We use shredded coconut, which we ground until it becomes a smooth, aromatic spread. No oils, sugars, or additives are added.
What does it taste like?
Coconut butter has a naturally sweet, tropical flavor with a rich, nutty depth. It captures the pure taste of coconut in a creamy, spreadable form.
What is the texture like?
Our coconut butter is smooth and spreadable when kept at warmer temperatures. When stored in a cool place or in the fridge, it firms up and becomes solid. A gentle warm-up quickly brings it back to a creamy texture.
What are the possible health benefits?
Provides healthy fats, including medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), which can be used as a quick source of energy
Contains dietary fiber and small amounts of minerals like manganese and copper
Naturally plant-based and free from gluten or dairy
A filling and wholesome alternative to processed spreads
How can you use it?
Spread on bread, crackers, or rice cakes
Stir into warm oatmeal, smoothies, or plant milk drinks
Use in baking recipes, energy balls, or raw desserts
Drizzle over pancakes, fruit, or granola when slightly melted
Storage and shelf life
Keep in a cool, dry place. In the fridge it will firm up and lasts up to 3 months after opening. At room temperature it remains softer and is best consumed within 6–8 weeks. Stir before use if natural oil separation occurs.
