Cashew Butter (housemade)
What is it?
This is our housemade cashew butter, made in small batches at Nut House. We lightly oven-roast cashews to bring out their delicate sweetness, then grind them fresh into a smooth, pure spread. No oils, sugars, or additives are added.
What does it taste like?
Cashew butter has a naturally sweet, mild nutty flavor. The gentle roasting deepens the taste while keeping it soft and creamy.
What is the texture like?
Our cashew butter is slightly thick, with a rich and creamy mouthfeel. It spreads well but has more body than softer butters like pecan or macadamia.
What are the possible health benefits?
A good source of plant-based protein
Provides healthy unsaturated fats that support energy and satiety
Contains magnesium, iron, and zinc
A wholesome alternative to processed spreads
How can you use it?
Spread on bread, crackers, or rice cakes
Stir into oatmeal, smoothies, or yogurt
Use as a base for creamy sauces or dressings
Add to baked goods, energy balls, or desserts
Storage and shelf life
Keep in a cool, dry place. In the fridge it becomes a little firmer and lasts up to 3 months after opening. At room temperature it stays spreadable and is best consumed within 6–8 weeks. Stir before use if natural oil separation occurs.
